Myanmar skater Htet Myat Naing to compete in Street/Park Skateboarding World Championship 2023

Myanmar skater Htet Myat Na­ing will compete in the Street/ Park Skateboarding World Cham­pionship 2023, according to of­ficials.

 

According to the Olympic Solidarity Team’s Youth Devel­opment Programme, the player with the most National and Inter­national Points in the Scholarship Programme was selected as it was the opportunity to compete in the Street/Park Skateboarding World Championship 2023 held at Aljada Skate Park, Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates from 29 January to 6 February.

 

The competition will be held as a qualifier for the 2024 Olym­pics to be held in France.

 

The World Olympic Council will bear all the expenses of My­anmar skater Htet Myat Naing. This competition is the second Olympic experience for the Myan­mar Skateboarding Team and the related meetings of the competi­tion will be attended by Ko Pyae Oo, head of the Skateboarding Department of World Skate, My­anmar, officials stated.

 

It is reported that two skat­ers representing Myanmar Ski Sports Team 2022 won four gold medals in the Melaka Open Speed Skating Challenge (MOSC)-2022 held in Melaka, Malaysia on 17 December. — Bala Soe/KZL
