THE Myanmar Futsal team played against Viet Nam on the morning of 4 April in the opening match of Group B of the AFF Futsal Championship 2022 and drew 1-1.

Myanmar squad took the lead at the beginning of the match and lost 1-0 in the first half.

But Myo Myint Soe scored the equalizer for the Myanmar team from the penalty spot.

Viet Nam is a strong team and has reached the last 16 of the 2021 Futsal World Cup.

Upon the draw result, Myanmar Futsal Team Head Coach Mr Bunlert Cheowarang said: “I am just happy with the result today. The players did their best to follow my technique. I’m happy that my boys played well in defence and scored a goal.”

Myo Myint Soe also won the best player award for the match against team Viet Nam.

The Myanmar national futsal team will play against the Australia team on the morning of 5 April in the second match of Group B of the AFF Futsal Championship 2022. —GNLM
