Yesterday, repre­sentatives of My­anmar, Thailand, and China discussed facil­itating the repatriation of foreigners involved in tele­com fraud and destructive actions in Mae Sot, Thai­land.

 

Delegations led by Deputy Police Chief 1 Po­lice Maj-Gen Tin Ko Ko of the Myanmar Police Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Thailand’s Tak Province Vice-Admin­istrator Mr Narongchai Jindaphan, and Deputy Director-General Mr Liu Ning Ning of Criminal In­vestigation Department of Public Security of China attended the meeting.

 

During the meeting, the three leaders dis­cussed the acceleration of tackling online scams and online gambling, system­atic transfer of offenders among the countries of or­igin, transit countries and arrival countries, cooper­ation to draft the action plan by forming the task force among three coun­tries, and quick transfer of third-country nationals via Thailand. — MNA/KTZH
