Myanmar U-14 men’s squad to participate in Chinese invitational football tourney

Myanmar U-14 men’s football team left here by air for China this morning to take part in the Wuhan Cup 2019 International Youth Championship, said the Myanmar Football Federation.

U Bo Bo Aung from the Football Academy (Mandalay) will take charge of the Myanmar U-14 men’s football squad that consists of six coaching staff and 18 players totaling 24. The Wuhan Cup 2019 International Youth Championship, the third of its kind, will be held in Wuhan, Hubei Province in China from 29 June to 5 July. Eight participating teams are drawn into two groups.

Myanmar U-14 men’s football team is pooled in Group-A together with China, South Korea and Indonesia while the Group-B is composed of Wuhan U-14, North Korea, Malaysia and Japanese club Osaka U-14. Myanmar will play against China U-14 on 29 June, compete with South Korea U-14 on 30 June, and clash with Indonesia U-14 on 2 June.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
