THE player selection trials for Myanmar’s U12 football team, which will compete in the U12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026 in Japan, began simultaneously in Yangon and Mandalay on 11 July, according to the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF).

On the first day of the trials, 42 young players took part at the National Football Academy in Yangon, while 20 players participated at the Myanmar Football Academy in Mandalay, with a total of 62 players joining the selection process.

The MFF said the trials were organised to provide opportunities for talented young players from across the country who meet the age requirements and to ensure an open selection process.
