MYANMAR and Viet Nam organized the 5th bilateral meeting on Drug Control Cooperation at the M-Gallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Secretary of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control Chief of Myanmar Police Force Police Lt.Gen Aung Win Oo and Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security’s Police Department for Drug Crime Investigation Police Col Mr Vu Van Hau delivered opening speeches.

At the meeting, the delegates from Myanmar and Viet Nam discussed drug trafficking cases in both countries, reviewed the decisions in the fourth meeting and coordinated over the future cooperation in combating drug trafficking.

After the results of the meeting were reviewed and confirmed, the date and venue for their sixth meeting were discussed.

Also present at the meeting were invited police officers, heads and Senior officers of Drug Enforcement Division and representatives from Myanmar and Viet Nam. — MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
