THE ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship 2024 will feature five teams, including Myanmar.
The championship will run from 16 to 21 November in the Philippines, featuring teams from Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and host the Philippines. The competition will follow a round-robin format, where all teams face each other in the group stage. After the group matches, the teams standing first and second place will play in the final game, and the third- and fourth-placed teams will play for third place.
According to the schedule, the Myanmar team will play against the Philippines team on 16 November, the Vietnamese team on 17 November, the Thai team on 18 November and the Indonesian team on 19 November as group matches. The third-place game and the final will be held on 21 November.
The Myanmar women’s futsal team has been currently under training in preparation for this Futsal Championship since 30 September, with a preliminary squad of 26 players. Head coach U Htay Myint is overseeing the team’s preparations. — Ko Nyi Lay/TTN
