As part of preparations ahead of the second round of the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Myanmar women’s national football squad will play two warm-up matches against Vietnam in Mandalay.

The friendly games between Myanmar and Vietnamese national women’s football teams will be held at Mandalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalay at 6 p.m. on 21 and 23 March. The football fans are invited to enjoy the matches free of charge. The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) attempted to invite Thai national women’s squad for a warm-up in Myanmar but it was suspended due to various reasons after necessary negotiations were made.

Myanmar is pooled in the Group-A together with India, Indonesia and Nepal. Myanmar will be hosting the second round of the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Mandalay in April.  

The second round of the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the quadrennial international football competition organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine which women’s national teams for Asia qualify for the Olympic football tournament.
