Myanmar women’s U-20 team placed in group B of 2nd round Asian Qualifiers

The drawing-lots ceremony for the 2024 Asian Women’s U-20 Championship Qualifiers (sec­ond round), which includes the Myanmar women’s U-20 team, was held at noon yesterday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Teams from China, Austral­ia, Viet Nam, Myanmar, Iran, China (Taipei), and Lebanon who have passed the first stage of the qualifiers have been divided into two groups. The Myanmar women’s U-20 team is in Group B along with China, Nepal, and China Taipei.

 

Australia, Viet Nam, Iran, and Lebanon are in Group A, and the 2024 AFC Women’s Under-20 Championship second-round qualifiers are scheduled to be held from 3 to 11 June 2023.

 

The first and second-placed teams from the two groups for the second round will advance to the next stage along with Uz­bekistan, Japan, North Korea, and South Korea.

 

Uzbekistan will host the 2024 Asian Women’s U-20 Champion­ship. The winner, first-runner and second-runner-up teams will qualify for the 2024 FIFA Wom­en’s U-20 World Cup. — KZL
