Taninthayi Region Investment Forum is scheduled to be held in Myeik on 7-8 December. In order to successfully organize the event, preparatory measures are being carried out by setting up working committees and supportive work committees.
“The purpose of organizing the event is to uplift the development of the region with added momentum. Being a coastal area, Taninthayi Region has abundance of beautiful islands. In addition, different faiths live together in peace and harmony through thick and thin. There are many youth entrepreneurs and young people who are really interested in operating business. Moreover the region has a promising area for investment for ensuring development. This is the reason why we organize the forum,” Regional Minister for Planning and Finance Daw Yi Yi Cho said.
The Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region looked into preparations being made to successfully hold the forum by working committees and supportive work committee on the evening of 26 November. The investment forum will be held along with conducting seminars and signing the MoUs and a total of around 100 booths are planning to put their products on display.
Panel discussions focusing on investment opportunities and challenges in Taninthayi Region will be staged. Participants to the forum will be sent to investment projects in Myeik to observe investment prospects by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration.—Khaing Htoo (IPRD)
