Myingyan, 20 January 

A ceremony to open a natural disaster management course was held at the meeting hall of Myingyan township General Administration Department in the town of Myingyan, Myingyan district, Mandalay region this morning.

 At the event, Pyithu Hluttaw representative U Sein Myint made an opening speech. Then, Myingyan district Management Committee Chairman, district administrator U Tint Hlaing said that the course is opened in order to make swift response in the face of natural disasters. He also urged the trainees to actively learn the subjects taught during the course. 

Also present at the ceremony were Pyithu Hluttaw representative U Sein Myint, the region Hluttaw representative U Chan Myae, acting township administrator U Than Soe Lin, heads of district and township level departments and trainees.

A total of 30 trainees including departmental staff, members of social organizations are attending the three-day course, according to assistant director Daw Zar Mon of Mandalay region disaster management department.—Zaw Min Naing ( Myin Gyan)
