A ceremony to open a concrete bridge on Moenaing creek was held in Paingkyon sub-Township, Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State on 1 July.

At the event, chairman of Kayin State Administration Council U Saw Myinyt Oo delivered an opening speech. Afterwards, an official from the township Department of Rural Development explained work processes relating to the bridge and a local spoke words of thanks to officials.

Afterwards, Chairman of the State Administration Council U Saw Myint Oo, members of the State Administration Council Major Myo Min Naung and U Saw Khin Maung Myint, Colonel San Htoo Kyaw from Hlaingbwe Military Station, Colonel Saw Hpa Nui, vice chairman of Border Guard Force cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the bridge and sprinkled scented water on its signboard.

The bridge measuring 152 ft. in length and 4.7 meters in width was built with K 498 million jointly allocated by Japan Infrastructure Partners (JIP) and the regional government.—Saw Myo Min Thein, IPRD
