Yangon, 30 September

A new concrete road was inaugurated in Dagon Myothit Township, Yangon Region on 29 September. The new road was formally opened by the Vice Mayor of Yangon U Soe Lwin, member of the Yangon City Development Committee Daw Than Myint Aung, Chairman of the eastern district National League for Democracy U Kyi Lwin, and the lawmakers by cutting a ceremonial ribbon.

Next, the abbot of Maha Visudayama monastic education Bhaddanta U Tezaniya gave ovadakatha. Then speeches by the vice-mayor of Yangon, member of YCDC and the legislators followed. The chairman of the eastern district NLD highlighted the political awareness and public participation. Afterwards, writers Daw Nilar and Daw Hnin Pan Eain spoke words of thanks.

The monastic education school has admitted to more than 400 students this academic year. Now people from nearby area can use the new road in all seasons.
