A ceremony to open new football ground was held in Lawa Village in Mabein Township at about 3:0 pm on February 17.

Staff officer of the Township Department of Sports and Physical Education U Win Lwin, Village Administrator U Than Oo, captain of Shwewamye football team U Aung Aung, community leaders U Hla Kyaw and U Tin Maung attended the event and cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the football ground.

This was followed by the presentation of sports items to Shwewamye football team. Sports items were accepted by U Aung Aung, captain of Shwewamye football team.

The football ground measuring 345 ft.in length and 225 ft. in width was constructed by Ever Ready Construction Company with Ks. 20 million allocated by regional government in 2021-2022 FY.—Myo Min (IPRD)
