As part of efforts to control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, new night curfew was imposed in Falam Township, Chin State on 15 July.

The Township General Administration Department imposed the new night curfew begins from 12:00 am to 4:00 am every day in the towns of Falam, Rikhawdar and Weibula in Falam Township and bars everyone in the township from leaving their homes starting from 15 July.

The new night curfew from 12:00 am to 4:00 am, starting from 15 July, would remain in effect within two months.  Violators are subject to imprisonment and/or a fine of Myanmar Kyat, according to the Township Administration Department.—District IPRD
