Tachileik, March 23
A new rural road in Mae Laik Pakaw Village was inaugurated this morning by Tachilek Township Rural Development Department under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development to mark the 81st Armed Forces Day.
At the ceremony, district and township officials delivered opening remarks and explained the objectives and progress of the project. A representative of the village also expressed gratitude on behalf of local residents. Officials then formally opened the road with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and inspected the site.
The newly completed road, measuring 1 mile and 4 furlongs in length and 12 feet in width, was constructed with Union funds during the 2025–2026 fiscal year. It is expected to facilitate the timely and cost-effective transport of agricultural produce from over 375 acres of rubber and paddy fields.— Kyaw Zayar Lin (IPRD)
