A ceremony to open a school building was held in Mya Sabai post-primary school in the town of Hopin Mohnyin district, Kachin state this morning.
At the event, Headmistress Daw Myint Myint Aye of Myathida Basic High Education School made an opening speech. Then, U Kyaw Khaing, chairman of the school trust reported on the needs of the schools. Then, headmistress Daw Mya Kyi of the post-primary school gave a presentation on educational affairs of the school. Afterwards, officials presented awards to outstanding schoolchildren who won in physical and intellectual competitions in 2019-2020 academic year. Then, schoolchildren performed dances to the audience.
The new school building measuring 120 ft in length, 30 ft in wide, 12 ft in high was built with the use of union funds of K 60 million.—Toe Toe May ( Hopin)
