Kyaukpadaung, 14 October
A ceremony to hand over a new school facility to the Department of Education was held in Inpinsan Village, Kyaukpadaung Township on 13 October.
The new school structure was formally opened by Mandalay Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Soe Than, Regional Lawmaker U Aye Khaing, and donor Dr. Kyaw Win and wife Daw Mi Mi. Next, the regional minister and well-wishers made opening speeches and explained the purpose of donation. Afterwards, the donors handed over documents relating to Township Education Officer Daw Tin Tin Aye who returned a certificate of honour to the well-wishers. Well-wishers then donated stationery to headmistress Daw Khin Mar Cho and a local spoke words of thanks.
The one-storey facility measures 60 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and 12 ft. in height. It also includes one restroom and one brick tank and was built at a cost of Ks. 42 million. Also present on the occasion were Regional Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Sai Pan Hsai, MPs, Deputy Commissioner U Soe Tint, District Education Officer U Tin Shwe, Township Administrator U Win Ko Ko, teachers, students and local people totaling about 180.
