A handing over ceremony of a new school to the Department of Education took place at a basic education high school (branch) in Myeiktaung Village, Myeik in Taninthayi Region this morning.
The new school facility is of reinforced concrete type and measures 60 ft. in length and 30 ft. in width. It was built at a cost of Ks. 36 million by OK family. At the ceremony, Township Education Officer U Kyaw Shein expressed words of gratitude and well-wisher U Kyaw Kyaw Oo explained the purpose of donation.
Next, the donors handed over documents relating to the school and donated exercise books and Ks. 1.5 million to an official from the school board of trustees.—Khaing Htoo (IPRD)
