A two-storey facility is under construction in the compound of a basic education high school in Mongyaung Township, Eastern Shan State.

Legislators for Shan State parliament U Sai Tun Aung and U Aik Kham Hlaing, Township Administrator U Nyi Nyi Win and representatives from a construction company inspected arrangements made to hold a stake driving ceremony. The school structure is of reinforced concrete type and will be 150 ft. in length, and 30 ft. in width. The facility is being built by a local construction company with Ks. 237.31 million of the allocated funds from the Union Budget.

Mongyaung Township consists of nine wards and nine village-tracts and has only one high school that has admitted more than 700 students.—Ar Char (IPRD)
