A ceremony to unveil a new stadium was held in Namhsan Township, Southern Shan State this morning.

The new facility was opened by Shan State Minister for Social Affairs, State Minister for Electricity, Energy and Industry, MP of Pyithu Hluttaw, Head of Namhsan Military Region and District Commissioner.

At the ceremony, Shan State Minister for Social Affairs and State Minister for Electricity, Energy and Industry gave opening remarks. Then, Managing Director U Khin Maung Toe from Cherry Queen Construction Company handed over documents related to the newly constructed facility to Deputy Director U Tin Tun from Shan State Sports and Physical Education Department. 

The state ministers also furnished sports gears to the township administrators and officials who presented awards to the winners in the sporting events.

The new stadium which is 200 feet long and 100 feet wide was constructed at a cost of K 28 million of funds of Pyidaungsu and the construction was started in June 2018.
