New Zealand reported one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total active cases in the country to 11, according to the Ministry of Health.

The person who has tested positive is a woman in her 60s who arrived in New Zealand on June 18. She travelled back from India on a repatriation flight, Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield told a press conference.

"We have had more than 20,000 people through our managed isolation facilities since that regime was implemented on April 9, with no evidence any of them has transmitted the virus to anyone in the community," he added.

Additionally, people must now return a negative COVID-19 test before leaving isolation facilities and going into the community, he said.

Among the 11 active cases in New Zealand, 10 were in Auckland and one in Wellington. The number of COVID-19 related deaths in New Zealand was 22, according to the ministry.
