As part of efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, five-hour night curfew was imposed in the town of Lailenpi, Matupi Township, Chin State on 15 September.

Matupi Township General Administration Department imposed the night curfew begins from 12:00 am to 4:00 am every day in the town of Lailenpi and bars everyone in the township from leaving their homes starting from September 15.

The night curfew from 12:00 am to 4:00 am, starting on 15 September night, would remain in effect within two months.  Violators are subject to imprisonment and/or a fine of Myanmar Kyat, according to the Township General Administration Department.—Ya Kam, IPRD
