As part of efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, six-hour night curfew was imposed in Pwintbyu Township, Minbu District, Magway Region yesterday, according to the township COVID-19 prevention and control committee.

 

The Township COVID-19 prevention and control committee imposed the night curfew begins from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am every day in Pwintbyu Township and bars everyone in the township from leaving their homes starting from April 22.

 

“The night curfew starting from April 22 at 10:00 pm to 4:00 am would remain in effect within two months”, said U Tun Thein Aung, Chairman of COVID-19 prevention and control committee.  “Violators are subject to imprisonment and/or a fine of Myanmar Kyat” he added.

 

Exemptions will be made for trucks which carry goods and foodstuffs, medical workers and patients.—Ye Win Naing(Nyaung Oo)
