Hpa-an 20 December

A ceremony to present vocational certificates to 90 youths in Technical Training School (Ha-an) was held at the school in Hpa-an, Kayin State this morning.

The vocational training course such as Construction Course No.10, Electrical Course No.10, Automobile Mechanic course No.9 and Welding Course No.8 were jointly conducted by the Department of Education and Training under the Minister of Border Affairs and Bridge Asia Japan (BAJ).

First, Speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw U Saw Chit Khin gave opening remarks. Next, a Director General from the Department of Education and Training U Thaung Htike and Project Manager from BAJ Mr. Hiroshi SUDO clarified the purpose and procedures of the courses. Then, the Speaker of the Kayin State Hluttaw, State Minister for Security and Border Affairs, State Auditor General awarded the outstanding students.

A total of 90 students including 20 in construction course, 20 in electrical course, 30 in automobile mechanic course and 20 in welding course were presented vocational certificates.

The vocational training course No.1 was started in 2013-2014 FY and a total of 862 youths with vocational certificates have been generated. 83% out of which have been joined with          their job opportunities.
