North Korea says it is not interested in denuclearization talks as long as the United States and South Korea keep up their "military threats."

A spokesperson for North Korea's foreign ministry issued a statement through the state-run Korean Central News Agency on Thursday.

The statement criticized South Korea's purchase of F-35 stealth fighter jets from the US, and the recent US cruise missile launch test.

The statement added that North Korea has not changed its position to resolve all issues in a peaceful manner through dialogue and negotiation, but it has no interest in dialogue accompanied by military threats.

North Korea continues to criticize the US even after the 16-day US-South Korea joint military exercises ended on Tuesday.
