North Korea's state-run media are reporting that the country's leader Kim Jong Un left Pyongyang by train on Saturday, for a summit with the US president in Hanoi.
The Korean Central News Agency said that Kim's sister, Kim Yo Jong, and close aide, Kim Yong Chol, are accompanying him.
The ruling party newspaper Rodong Shinmun also carried photographs of the leader being seen off at a station in Pyongyang on the front page of its Sunday edition.
