No casualties were reported in a fire that broke out in the compound of an electricity distribution company in Ye Township, Mon State at about 11 a.m. on 28 December, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

The fire is believed to have started from an overheated engine of a car and spread nearby areas, engulfing 3,500 barrels of diesel, four diesel engines and one building. The fire had ceased at about 5:30 p.m. In connection with the case, an employee from the company that supplies electricity to five villages including Asin Village in Ye Township is being questioned by local police.—MOHA
