MINBU Township is located in the central partof Myanmar and bounded by Ngaphe Township to the west, Ayeyawady River and Magway Township to the east, Minhla Township to the south and Pwintbyu Township to the north.
Minbu (Sagu) Township covers an area of 642.7 square miles and 68 village-tracts with 150 villages are located there. The township boasts of many cultural heritage sites and interesting places. Travellers all around the world can visit there for its good transport services.
The Shwe Set Taw pagoda beside the Mann Creek — Ahtat Set Taw Yar and Auk Set Taw Yar pagodas are located in the west of the Minbu Township while Ayeyawady River in the east, Shin Pin Sat Kein Te Pagoda in the south and Naga Pwat Taung in the west.
Similarly, Sanaku Nant Tha Kyaung Taw Yar and Kyaung Taw Yar pagoda, over 100-year-old Sagu Yoke Sone Monastery are situated in Lal Kine. Moreover, there is Shwe Myin Tin pagoda on Ajju Hata Taung in Yay Poke village where Maha Punna Monk sat in meditation for the first time and Thamudda Mya pagoda in the northeast of township where the Monk sat in meditation for the second time and Pauk Chaung and cave where the Weizza Sayadaws meditated. In the northwest of the township, we can see Shin Pin Ni cave pagodas near Pan Hlwar village where the Monk meditated for the third time in addition to Shin Minbu pagoda, Kaung Lain pagoda and Dat TawGon pagodas.
