A small rural suspension bridge was opened to public in LeOo Village, Saw Township in Magway Region on 21 September, according to a source from an official from the Community-Driven Development.

The suspension bridge measures 102 ft. in length, 5 ft. in width and 18 ft. in height and was built with more than Ks. 24 million funded under the Community-Driven Development and contributed by local people. The bridge is expected to help facilitate better flow of commodities produced in the region to other parts throughout the country, thereby contributing to improving the livelihood and living standard of the local people from not only Saw Township but also Kanpetlet Township in Chin State.


The inauguration ceremony of the bridge was attended by the regional MP, officials from the Department of Rural Development, Department of Education, Department of Agriculture, and residents. Those present were entertained with traditional dance by Chin ethnic cultural troupe from Kanpetlet Township, said Daw Thiri Zin Min, an official from the township Community-Driven Development.
