A discussion about polio and measles additional vaccination programs scheduled to be conducted in the last week of October was held at the meeting hall of Hakha Peope Hospital this morning.

 The discussion was attended by local authorities, non-governmental organizations, and teachers. 
At the discussion, Head of Chin State Public Health Department Dr. Aung Ngwe San dealt with the background history of polio and measles vaccination program in the state, vaccination programs for children being carried out in 14 countries including Myanmar, additional vaccination programs scheduled to be conducted in the last week of October throughout Chin state, stressing the need to make sure that no child miss the program.

 In Chin state, the first additional polio vaccination program was conducted from 26th to 28th August in eight townships and during the first week of September in Paletwa town. 

The second additional vaccination program is scheduled to conduct in the whole Chin state from 25th to 29th October. The vaccination program will cover 6248 children under five and 5412 children under nine.
