With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans to implement emerald green projects were disbursed to farmers at the monastery in Chaung Wa Village, Kawhmu Township, Yangon Region yesterday.


The disbursement of loans is the fifth of its kind and staff officer of the Township’s Rural Development Department U Soe Kyaw Thu clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and procedures of the emerald green projects to be abode by rural people.


Afterwards, chairman of Emerald Green Project Supervisory Committee U San Lwin and members of the committee dispensed K 50.3 million loans to farmers in the village.


Altogether 143 people in agriculture business, livestock breeding business, trading and students who will attend vocational schools received loans of projects.
