Mandalay Central Railway Station is set to extend the train services from Mandalay to Yangon and from Mandalay to Myitkyina starting today, according to Myanma Railways (Mandalay Central Railway Station).


Mandalay Central Railway Station is operating a train from Mandalay to Yangon and another train from Mandalay to Myitkyina while other train services are temporarily suspended during the outbreak of COVID-19.


“Under the guidelines directed by the Ministry of Health and Sports, the number of passengers will be halved without raising ticket prices”, said General Manager U Myo Win of Myanma Railways (Mandalay Central Railway Station).


During the outbreak of COVID-19, Mandalay-Yangon No.4 down train leaves Mandalay Central Railway Station at 4:30 pm and Mandalay-Myitkyina No.41 up train departs the station at 5:30 pm. The extended Mandalay-Yangon No.6 down train will leave the station at 3 pm and Mandalay-Myitkyina No. 57 up train at 8:45 am, he added.
