A ceremony to provide nutritious foods to pregnant women was held at the office of the township Maternal and Child Welfare Association in Kutkai Township, Shan State(North) yesterday.

At the event, wife of Shan State Chief Minister Daw Nan Shwe Myint provided nutritious foods such as eggs, dried cakes, cash aid and hand sanitizers to pregnant women, and gave words of encouragement to them.

Next, the township medical superintendent Dr. Wint Wint Myaing shared knowledge about nutritious food to eat during pregnancy.

Also present on the occasion were the township Administrator U Myint Saung, departmental officials, members of the township Maternal and Child Welfare Association and local ethnic groups.
