The meeting between the Na­tional Solidarity and Peace­making Negotiation Commit­tee (NSPNC) and the working group of political parties was held at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre yes­terday morning.

 

SAC Member Union Min­ister at the Union Government Office National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and committee mem­bers, leader of the working group of political parties Shan Nationalities Democratic Party (SNDP) Chairman U Sai Aik Pao and representatives of the working group participated in the meeting.

 

NSPNC Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and SNDP Chairman U Sai Aik Pao gave opening speeches at the meeting. Af­terwards, they had an infor­mal discussion on each point of NSPNC’s analysis of pro­posals concerning points to be amended in the 2008 Constitu­tion put forward by the working group of political parties.

 

Next, the views from both sides were put on record and chairpersons of the NSPNC and SNDP made closing re­marks. — MNA
