“Stay-at-Home” order was issued in Yangon Region since 21 September to effectively control the spread of COVID-19, so the number of train passengers. Consequently, the number of carriages in Yangon City Circular Trains will be reduced from six to three from 29 September.
On Yangon-Hlawgar route, a morning train will depart from Hlawgar Station at 7:35 am and will arrive at Yangon Central Railway Station at 9:15 am. An evening train will depart from Yangon Central Railway Station at 5 pm and will arrive at Hlawgar Station at 6:40 pm.
On Yangon-Mingaladon-Insein route, a morning train will depart from Insein Station at 7:25 am and will arrive at Yangon Central Railway Station at 9:15 am. An evening train will depart from Yangon Central Railway Station at 5:45 pm and will arrive at Insein Station at 7:35 pm.
On Yangon-Ywathagyi route, a morning train will depart from Ywathagyi Station at 8 am and will arrive at Yangon Central Railway Station at 9 am. An evening train will depart from Yangon Central Railway Station at 5:20 pm and will arrive at Ywathagyi Station at 6:20 pm.
Before the “Stay-at-Home” period, a total of 30 trains run on the Yangon City Circular Railway, and the average number of passengers per day is more than 6,000.
