A new nursery school belonging to the Maternal and Child Welfare Association was opened in Ward-1, South Okkalapa Township in Yangon Region on 19 November.

Also present on the occasion were Chairperson of the Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association (Central) Professor Dr. Daw San San Myint Aung, Secretary of the local government U Myo Aung Htay and wife, Chairperson of the Yangon Region Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee Daw Aye Aye Myint, Deputy Commissioner U Tun Naing Ko, Township Administrator U Nyein Chan Aung, former Union Minister for Commerce Agga Maha Thiri Thudhamma Jotika Daja Wunna Kyaw Htin U Win Myint and wife Daw Myint Myint Than and invited guests.

The facility measuring 35 ft. in length and 35 ft. in width is of reinforced concrete type and was built with Ks. 45 million donated by former Union Minister U Win Myint and wife Daw Myint Myint Than and currently hosts 50 kids.—Win Htet Htet Aung (IPRD)
