Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the construction of concrete paving work of road in Takyopaing Village in Zalun Township of Ayeyarwady Region yesterday.
The concreted road measuring 895 ft. in length, six ft. in width and six inches in thickness was constructed by local people with Ks. 11.2 million including Ks. 10 million of DRD’s allocated funds in 2022-2023 fiscal years and Ks. 1.2 million contributed by local people.
The construction of concrete paving work of road has been implemented since the third week of November this year and now, all the projects were completed 100 percent. During the inspection tour, officials and members of village development project committee met with the community leaders and gave necessary instructions.
It will benefit 370 local people from 90 households in the village, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Maung Khaing(DRD)
