Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the construction of concrete paving work of road in Lekka Village in Mrauk-U Township, Rakhine State this morning. 

During the inspection tour, officials met with members of village development committee and gave necessary instructions.

The concreted road measuring 3300 ft. in length, 12 ft. in width and seven inches in thickness is being constructed by a tender winning company with Ks. 220.4 million of DRD’s allocated funds in 2022-2023 fiscal years and all the projects were completed 75 so far.

Once completed, it will benefit 1590 local people from 322 households in the village, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Aung Than Oo(DRD)
