Officials from the Department of Rural Development made a field trip to inspect rural road being constructed with the state funds for 2024-2025 FY in Kaw Thaik (Kaw Dan) Village, Hpa-an Township, Hpa-an District of Kayin State on 18 December.

During the inspection tour, officials met with members of village development committee and called on them to meet the set standards and stressed the importance of quality construction and road maintenance.

The rural road measuring 5.5 furlongs in length, 12 ft. in width and two ft. in height has been constructed since the first week of June this year by a tender winning Company with K. 58.6 million allocated by the state government for 2024-2025 FY and as of now, the construction works have been completed 85 percent.—Set Lu
