Maesae 25 March

As the two border gates ( BP 13 and BP 14) in Maesae township, Balakhe district in Kayah state bordering Thailand were officially closed to travellers since March 21, departmental officials stepped up preventative measures against Covid-19 at Maesae trade camp.

In doing so, departmental staff led by township administrator U Hla Myo Tun, conducted scanning body temperatures of travellers, giving out masks and handouts to them at the trade camp. They also asked travellers to wash their hands frequently to prevent from contracting the virus.—Wut Yi (IPRD)
