A 2-year old girl was killed and five others injured after an over-speeding light truck overturned in Minkin Township, Sagaing Region on 23 June.
    

A light truck driven by a man named Thura Aung was heading to Thinbawkyin Village from Minkin Township and flopped over near milepost 108.5 after the driver lost control of the car. Five people on board sustained minor injuries but a two-year old girl was pronounced dead at the scene of accident.
    

The injured people are now receiving medical treatment at a public hospital in Minkin. The light truck driver is being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.—Chindwin Thar
