Htigyaing, 14 September

A man was killed and two others injured after a Toyota Dyna overturned in Htigyaing Township, Sagaing Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

The fatal accident occurred between mileposts 113 and 114 on the Shwebo-Myitkyina Road at about 4 p.m. on September 9. The vehicle loaded with onion bags flipped over on a mountain slope. Firemen from a local fire service station joined the rescue operation. A man died after being trapped in front seat of the car and two others sustained minor injuries in the incident which is believed to have been caused by the faculty braking system of the car.

The deceased and injured men were sent to public hospitals and the local police filed a lawsuit against the driver named Thura Tun over reckless driving.—MOHA
