Kyaikmaraw, November 6

A woman died in an accident involving a car and a motorbike on Kyaikmaraw-Mawlamyine road in Kyaikmaraw township in Mon state yesterday.

The accident in which two women sustained injuries happened at around 7 pm. A voluntary rescue team brought the injured women to Mawlamyine hospital where one of the injured was pronounced dead.

Posters are being put in places along Kyaikmaraw-Mawlamyine road to urge motorcyclists and car drivers to drive carefully with reduced speed as accidents involving cars and motorbikes were very often during these days, according to Ye Min Aung, a member of local philanthropic group.
