A motorcyclist was killed and another one injured  in a pile-up involving a car and two motorbikes on Yekyi-Kyone Pyaw road in Myoma ward in the town of Yekyi, Pathein district, Ayeyarwady region yesterday evening.

The accident happened when a 12-wheeled truk driven recklessly by a man identified as Thein Kyaw was out of control and pulled out into the wrong lane, cramming into an oncoming motorbike ridden by Naing Lin.  The accident caused the death of Naing Lin at the scene of the accident. Ye Win Kon, who was riding another motorbike behind Naing Lin was also injured in the accident.

Local police brought charges against the truck driver for reckless driving, according to Myoma police station.—Aung Thu Han (IPRD)
