Shwebo, 8 November

A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Shwebo-Myitkyina road in ward 10 in  the town of Shwebo, Sagaing region yesterday evening, according to police captain Nyi Nyi Lwin, Shwebo Traffic Police station.

The accident took place at around 8 pm when a motorbike driver Aung Ko Ko Htet, together with another two pillion riders, lost control of it and crashed into a lamp post. All three people injured in the incident and were brought to the township hospital for medical treatment. One of the pillion riders named Ye Soe, 45, died at the hospital while receiving medical treatment as an in-patient.

Local police officers brought charges against Aung Ko Ko Htet for careless driving.—Moe Thauk (Shwebo)
