Dagon Myothit(East), 7 July

The Department of Fisheries under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation took place a fish planting ceremony at the Ma-U Creek in Dagon Myothit(East) Township, Yangon Region for preventing the extinction of fish species this morning.

U Tint Lwin, Deputy Director of the Region Fisheries Department, member-1 of the Township Administration Council Major Thet Zaw, member-2 U Tin Win, personnel from the Township Fisheries Department, departmental officials, community leaders and respective ward administrators attended the event.

At the event, officials released a total of one million fingerlings from Laydauntkan and Hlawka fisheries stations into the creek to further preserve the biodiversity of the Ma-u Creek.—Zwe Min Htet(IPRD)
