A ceremony to honor outstanding students who passed with high marks in 2019 matriculation examination and teachers who taught the students to pass matriculation examination with flying colors was held at Thawka hall of B.E.H.S in Tharpaung, Ayeyawady Region yesterday.

At the event, students performed a song and the Township Administrator U Myo Naing gave a message. Afterwards, Daw May May Khin, deputy director of the Region Education officer’s office, headmaster U Aung Than from Pathein District Education officer’s Office, Daw Kyu Kyu Hlaing from the Township Education officer’s Office gave messages respectively.

This was followed by the presentation of awards and certificate of honor to outstanding students, teachers who taught the students to pass matriculation examination with distinctions, and schools with high pass rates in the 2018-2019 Academic Year matriculation examination in Tharpaung Township.

Next, Ma Soe Thandar Hlaing who passed matriculation examination with four distinctions, spoke words of thanks on behalf of students.

There are 113 students who passed with distinctions in the 2018-2019 Academic Year matriculation examination in Thapaung Township, it is learnt.—Myo Zaw Thein, IPRD
