A ceremony to honor outstanding students and top schools with high pass rates in 2023-2024 Academic Year’s matriculation examination was held at Yuyana hall of B.E.H.S.-1 in the town of Twantay, Twantay District of Yangon Region this morning.

First of all, Grade-10 students from B.E.H.S.-1 performed a school song. Next, member-2 of the Township Administration Body U Win Myint, the District Education officer Daw Khin San Yee and the Township Education officer Daw Khin Mya Cho delivered speeches respectively.

This was followed by the presentation of honorary award to Ma Janyo Wint who got six distinctions and three students who got three distinctions in 2023-2024 Academic year’s matriculation exam. Afterwards, students sang a school song. This was followed by the presentation of honorary awards to students who got two distinctions and three distinctions in the exam.

Afterwards, officials presented the first prize to Alechaung B.E.H.S. and Golden Future private high school that got the highest pass rates in 2023-2024 Academic year’s matriculation exam. After that officials handed over the second prize to Abe sub-B.E.H.S., and the third prizes to the Tatmadaw sub-B.E.H.S. and Bayakyi B.E.H.S. with high pass rates in 2023-2024 Academic year’s matriculation exam.

Under this scholar awards program, a student who got six distinctions, three students who got three distinctions, seven students who got two distinctions and 14 students who got one distinction received honorary awards respectively.—U Myo Hlaing
