A ceremony to honor outstanding students who passed with distinctions and schools with high pass rates in 2022-2023 Academic year’s matriculation examination was held at the Town hall in Shankye Ward in the Town of Shwegyin, Bago Region this morning.

 

First, students from B.E.H.S. in cantonment area in Shwegyin performed a song titled “Myanma School”. Next, Colonel Kyaw Phone Aung, commander of Tactical Operations Command based in Shwegyin and chairman of the Township Administration Council U Hla Min delivered speeches. Next, the Township Education Officer Daw Tin Tin Oo explained the purposes of the provision of awards for outstanding students and schools with high pass rates. 

 

This was followed by the presentation of awards and certificates of honor to outstanding students and schools with high pass rates in 2022-2023 Academic year’s matriculation Examination in the Township.

 

Under this award program, a total of 79 students including 13 students who passed with three distinctions, 22 students who obtained two distinctions, 44 students who won one distinction and five schools with high pass rates received awards and certificates of honor respectively. Afterwards, U Ye Myint Oo, headmaster of Thetkegon sub-Basic Education High School spoke words of thanks on behalf of schools with high pass rates.

 

A total of 300 people including Commander Colonel Kyaw Phone Aung, Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Hla Min and members, departmental officials, teachers, students who won distinctions, ward administrators and well-wishers attended the ceremony.—Tun Tun Zaw(IPRD)
